East Metal is awarded the EN 15085 certification

Welding in the production of railway vehicles is an important process for the structural strength and safety of public transport. Therefore, the standardization bodies established the EN 15085 quality criteria to ensure that the basic welding technical requirements were met.

The EN 15085-2 certification attests to the requirements for welding personnel in the production of railway vehicles, components and subassemblies, whenever it is expressly required by manufacturers’ tenders or contracts.

East Metal is a company specializing in manufacturing complex and demanding mechanical structures. The certification is an important guarantee of quality in and outside the EU for the acceptance of welded works on the market and in the railway industry. It verifies the staff’s technical competences and expertise and that systems and procedures support the fulfilment of the welding requirements.

The EN 15085 certificate is complemented by our ISO 9001, ISO 3834 and EN 1090 certificates.
