World class Proof Load testing facilities
East Metal's test centre provides the opportunity for optimising wind turbine parts, cranes, lifting gear, transport equipment and other machine parts and load bearing structures, as the test results can be used to validate the strength of new structures and components.
East Metal has two centres:
- In Dobele, Latvia we conduct tensile strength testing (pulling tests) of up to 350 tonnes. The maximum size of the components that are tested is about 10 tonnes in weight and with dimensions of 10 metres in length, 5 metres wide and 5 metres high
- In Denmark, significantly higher capacity can be offered: tensile strength tests on items with loads up to 1800 tonnes (18,000 kN). The maximum size of the test subject is more than 50 tonnes its own weight, with dimensions of more than 30 m x 5.3 m x 13 m (length x width x height)
- The Danish test stand was designed and built by East Metal, and in September 2022 it was bought by Liftra ApS. For more information see www.liftra.com
