Transport frame for wind turbine blades

This steel component is manufactured for a wind turbine manufacturer and functions as a stable frame for carrying wind turbine blades on board cargo vessels. Each frame is more than 4 meter high, 3,5 m wide and with a weight of 1,8 tons.

The customer had strict requirements to the quality of the weldings, low tolerances on measurements and finish.
